Our custom crates are easily assembled and disassembled.
We manufacture them to the standards of ISTA for shipping by
truck, train, ocean or air. The SLT corrugated crate system can
save you money over standard wooden crates in several ways:

• Lighter than wood so they will save on freight cost.
• Nest inside each other to save space on storage.
• In many cases, they may be reusable.

CONSTRUCTION

The lower tray and the lid are constructed of ECT161 double wall corrugated. The two–piece side walls are contructed of 1100T triple wall corrugated. The bottom tray sits on wooden blocks with a plywood base inside. The base is nailed through the plywood into the blocks. The base has holes drilled in specific locations for use in securing products. Under the blocks are strips of plywood which are added for stability. The number of blocks depends on the size of the corrugated crate.

ASSEMBLY

The base assembly is positioned on the floor and one side wall is set into position. The product is then placed in the tray and secure with straps through the access holes, if required. The second side wall is set in place and topped with the lid.

Strapping is required to hold the unit together securely during transprtation.
